Ammolite

AMMOLITE

Originates from the crushed, layered, and fossilized remains of the placenticeras ammonite shells.  Found in the Bearpaw shale formation near Lethbridge,  Alberta, Canada. Thousands of shells were layered upon each other and then covered with volcanic ash.

After 71 million years of exposure to elemental

movement, intense heat and tectonic pressure,

the crushed and compacted ammonite debris

emerges as AMMOLITE.
